Alesstis is the High Priestess of Throff. She leads the Great Temple of Throff in the Invisible City.

She has mystical gifts, and her age is not easy to determine, her appearance alternating from that of an old woman to that of a young girl. She has the power to observe events outside the city, through the water surface of a bronze dish, but also to influence certain people. She can replicate on a large scale the Demon Plague antidote: Asura Lily roots-based Smoke-Oil.

When Ulrakaah attacked the Invisible City by opening portals, Alesstis magically hid her people by sending them in another dimension, or by transforming them into animals. She took refuge herself in a secret cell in the temple, behind the statue dedicated to Lunara. She observed events outside the city through her bronze dish, following the wanderings of the Holy Man she summoned from Kaynlesh-Ma, the last survivor of the Guardians of the Crucible' expedition, Hikaz Mandeera, and Sinna the Sly.
