Aspartis was a scholar of subterranean creatures on Titan.

He or she considered that the fact that the creature called the bonecrusher had tendrils around its mouth as main sensory organs as evidence that the Bonecrushers were related to the similarly tentacled brain slayer, perhaps as an associated guard or warrior race.[1]
They also conducted research upon giant mudworms, coming to the conclusion that they had been bred for war by the brain slayers.
