The Bakk-Ruman was a legendary monster from subterranean caves.
Description[]
Its body was covered in dense black fur and each of its four limbs ended in sharp talons. It had short legs but grotesquely elongated arms attached to which were membranes which seemed to act as wings.
It had a small torso but an enormous head with gigantic saucer-like eyes, completely blank and blind. It had a fang filled mouth and emitted a piercing shriek when fighting.

- It may simply be a coincidence, but the element ruman is found in Arabic - being a term for Byzantium and Rome (as seen, for example, in the tales of One Thousand and One Nights).
