The Black Tower, sometimes referred to as the Citadel of Chaos, was the abode of the rulers of the Kingdom of Craggen Rock.

History

The Black Tower was built by Balthus Dire's grandfather, Gandor Dire; it quickly became a sanctuary for the forces of Chaos and Evil.

The wine cellar is run by Gervil, a black elf, with the red wine being excellent, the rose wine potentially containing a truth serum and the white wine reputed to be awful.

In the Great Hall of the Black Tower were paintings of the various Lords and Earls prominent in the history of the Kingdom of Craggen Rock. These are set around a large dining table at the head of which is a portrait of Balthus Dire.
