Blood-Lurchers were hairless, eyeless chaotic monstrosities which devoured their victims by sucking their blood through the many writhing tentacles which protruded from their mouths instead of teeth.[1]
Description[]
They were bipedal, fast and strong, with long and vicious claws on their front paws. Interestingly, they appeared to possess a link of some sort to protoplasms, since their tentacles would turn into a kiss of death protoplasm if severed and left in contact with nutritious substances.[2]
Blood-lurchers were known to howl.
History[]
Blood-lurchers were mainly associated with the Neuberg region of Khul. Here the beasts were a chief weapon of Xakhaz and later used by Senyakhaz, though thankfully they are rarely seen outside of the domain of such chaotic mages.
One group in particular plagued Neuberg Keep until they were slain by a bold adventurer.
A group of blood-lurchers also materialised in Arion, when the city was placed under a curse by the god Logaan.[3]
