The Celenasian Empire was an ancient and legendary civilization, ruling a region named Celenasia. The Celenasian Empire was famous for having "a strong and brave aristocracy". Now the Empire is lost beneath the Plain of Bones, but it is still famous in all Allansia and across the sea.[1][2]
This empire collapsed when it created a magical warpgate, which was intended to enable travel and exploration to the other planets surrounding Titan's sun. The warpgate collapsed, destroying the Celenasian Empire in the process. [1][3] This event was " the concluding event of the Celenasian War", and happened about "half a millennium" before 284 AC.[3] Before its collapse, the portal discharged a large number of Dinosaurs onto the empire's former territory; this is why the Plain of Bones has a large population of the creatures.[3]
Since the Caarth are strongly interested in both astronomy and archaeology, [4] it is possible they may have sent their agents to excavate the ruins of the Celenasian Empire for information about the warpgate. [5]
