The Crescent Shield was a circular shield, made of iron, and with a golden crescent in the middle.[1]

If used in battle, when the player is wounded they may roll an extra die and on a roll of 6 deduct 1 stamina from the damage they take. It is rather heavy, and to compensate for the weight one of the hero's other possessions must be left behind when they take it.
