Crolia is a province of Mauristatia, located in the country's east.[1] The North Gate Guards of the city of Kharé describe the Crolian language as their "own native tongue". [2]
Geography[]
The Chalmoe River and Lumlé River are both located in Crolia. They flow into into Lake Lumlé: the western side of the Lake is located in Crolia.[1]
History[]
Many years after the Splitting of Irritaria, the legendary warlord Crol led a group of tribes from the south, who settled in the eastern area of Mauristatia.[1] Crol's tribes intermarried with the other peoples living in the region, the Mortani and the Klanywar.[1] However, the tribes retained their distinctive language, Crolian.[1] Most of the tribes settled in the valleys and slopes and began farming crops and livestock. Some Crolians adopted the lucrative trade of catching and selling the valuable Mutton Fish found in Lake Lumlé.[1] A minority of Crolians, however, continued to follow their ancestors' nomadic way of life.[1]
The city of Limlai was built in the Crolian region. During the War of Wizards, an army of Chaotics besieged Limlai. The ruler, Prince Olziruth, naively asked the Demons to help Limlai. In response, the Demons transformed all the inhabitants of Limlai into various kinds of Ape. The Apes destroyed the forces of Chaos, but also left the city uninhabited; Limlai was eventually swallowed by the cloud forest near Lake Lumlé.[3]
