A Demon Bat was a type of magical creature native to the Magical Plane of Fire.
Description[]
They resembled ghostly bats wreathed in fire and flame, and were known to unpredictable at times. They attacked in combat with their claws and by releasing violent bursts of flame from themselves.
If slain while upon the earthly plane, a demon bat would explode in a violent manner, before its spirit would return to the Magical Plane of Fire to be reborn.

They were sometimes summoned by sorcerers or warlocks to perform tasks such as guarding an object or slaying a hated foe.[1]
