Whirlwinds[1], also known as Dust Devils, were a type of wind spirit that took the form of a human-sized tornado of whirling materials.
Description[]
Male whirlwinds lacked any distinguishing characteristrics, while female ones would sport a face and often take delight in heckling people.
Due to their insubstantial nature, a whirlwind was resistant to melee attacks from foes, though they were adept at hammering the foes themselves with rubble and strong blasts of air. They also lacked the weakness to water suffered by sand devils.
Origins and Distribution[]
Whirlwinds had one been native to the Magical Plane of Air, but had been banished from it long ago.
They were believed to be relatives to the sand devils.
