A Fire Elemental was a supernatural person-sized humanoid, a fiery personification of the power of the Element of Fire.[1]
Description[]
They were considered to be the least of the four major elementals, in terms of size and power, but were their superiors in intellect.[1]
Origins and Distribution[]
They usually dwelt on the Magical Plane of Fire, but could be summoned to Titan by a powerful sorcerer. Unlike some other elementals, fire elementals were quite willing to be summoned to the material plane, as it allowed them to learn.[1]
Once banished, a fire elemental could not return to the material plane for forty days.[1]
Special Abilities[]
Like most elementals, the only weapons that could harm them were magical or enchanted ones, though even those would soon be ruined by the immense heat that emanated from a fire elemental. Water poured over them would similarly evaporate before it could do the elemental damage.[1]
Notable Fire Elementals[]
- Vulcanus was a greater fire elemental that dwelt in Mount Pyre in Mauristatia.[2]
