The Galoren are a tribe of Wood Elves from Affen Forest, from whom was sent the hero who defeated Ishtra in the Dream Realm.[1] The location of the tribe in Phantoms of Fear suggests that it is the same tribe encountered in Masks of Mayhem, next to Lake Nekros.
The Galoren live deep in the Affen Forest, in the Realm of the Galoren, but they sometimes appear in other parts of the Affen. Strangers who encounter the Galoren and do who do not attack them can expect friendliness and assistance from the tribe.[2]

The Galoren belive in a feminine "life-force" called Maëlla, which enables plants and animals to live and grow; Maëlla also manifests in the Wood Elves' powers to dream and to make magic.[3]
