A Giant Frog was a type of large amphibian.
Description[]
They were described as "huge green bullfrogs"[1] but their illustration made them look more like some kind of Tree Frog. Their wide mouths were full of many tiny sharp teeth.[2] The riddle on one of the Riddling Reaver's Riddle Cupboards described them thus:
“ Long legs, crooked toes,
Glassy eyes, snotty nose.[3]”
Origins and Distribution[]
The Giant Frog could be found in wetlands across Titan. They were especially well known from Scorpion Swamp in Khul.[4] In Allansia they could be found in the Swamplands of Silur Cha and Arantis. An example of this type was kept by the Riddling Reaver in one of his Riddle Cupboards.[3] Lastly, there was a passing reference to them in The Crown of Kings, which would imply that they could be found in suitable habitats in Kakhabad such as the Vischlami Swamp.[5]
Giant Frogs were distantly related to Giant Toads and their kin, and more closely related to smaller, more normal Frogs.
Special Abilities[]
Giant Frogs had powerful hind legs that could propel them to hop considerable distances. If they were trapped in a confined space with an opponent, their opponent had to keep a careful eye on their violent hopping. If they did not, then any opponent (roll a die to decide which) would be knocked sprawling by the Giant Frog as it hopped about. A Giant Frog in such a situation could knock an opponent over every other Attack Round. Anyone knocked over had to spend the next Attack Round getting up, during which they could not fight - so an enemy would score a free hit on them unless someone stepped in to help.[3]
Further Notes[]

The Master of Frogs from Scorpion Swamp
- In Scorpion Swamp two Giant Frogs served at all times as bodyguards for the mysterious wizard known as the Master of Frogs.[4]
- In The Crown of Kings Giant Frogs are mentioned along with Snakes, Serpents, Hydras, and Lizard Men in an entry concerning a permanent phobia of reptiles.[5] This is of course incorrect, as Giant Frogs are amphibians, not reptiles.
