At the time of the events described in Daggers of Darkness, "Lightfinger" Greel, an Elf, is a former member (apparently the Chancellor) of the court of Segrek, deceased King of Kazan.

Greel describes himself as a High Elf who has "the Sight", which he uses to aid Segrek's Select.
