A Hellhorn is a humanoid monster that serves the forces of Evil.[1]
Description[]
Hellhorns had red skin, and a human-like face with two ram's horns on top. Hellhorns walk on two hair-covered legs that end in goat's hooves, and have a long tail swishing behind them.[1] Despite their appearance and their origin in the Infernal Pit, Hellhorns are not true Demons, but rather humanoid monsters created by dark sorcery.[1] Hellhorns are led by a Hellhorn Champion, who will be the leader of any group of four or more Hellhorns.[2]
Origins and Distribution[]
Hellhorns originate in the Infernal Planes.[1] They are found in both Titan and Amarillia. Zagor was served by Hellhorns while he was based in Amarillia.[3] The Winter King in Ruddlestone had Hellhorns among his retinue of servants.[1]
Special Abilities[]
The breath of a Hellhorn is poisonous, and they will direct it at anyone who attacks them. Unless the target has taken Anti-Venom beforehand, they must reduce their Attack Strength by 1 point while fighting the Hellhorn.[4]
Hellhorns usually fight with either a battle axe or a whip. If a Hellhorn wins an Attack Round, roll one die:
- Roll Effect
- 1 Glancing blow from whip: lose 1 STAMINA point
- 2-3 Whip blow: lose 2 STAMINA points
- 4 Head-butt: lose 2 STAMINA points
- 5 Special whip blow:lose 2 STAMINA points and 1 SKILL point
- 6 Special head-butt: lose 2 STAMINA points, plus 2 extra STAMINA points from poisoned horns [5]
Any loss of SKILL points is only temporary and will be restored if the Hellhorn's attacker wins the fight.[5]
