The Hero of Bloodbones lived in the small fishing village of Clam Beach in northern Ruddlestone. When the hero was twelve years old, the pirate-lord Cinnabar attacked the village, killing most of the men, including the hero's father and two brothers (only called ‘siblings’ in the app version). The hero's mother sickened and, three years later, died. On his or her sixteenth birthday, the hero travelled to Harabnab and signed on as a cabin boy on a ship sailing to Allansia. Six years later, the hero had travelled all over Titan and felt that he or she was ready to face Cinnabar and take his or her revenge.[1]

Accordingly, the hero travelled to the Port of Crabs where Cinnabar was rumoured to have a hideout. After various hardships, the hero tracked Cinnabar to Bone Island[2] and killed him,[3] before returning home to Clam Beach.[4]

It is possible for the hero to have taken part in other books, either before or afterwards.
