Hero of City of Thieves
Race/Species Human

The Hero of City of Thieves was an "experienced and highly trained swordsman" who earned a living as a hired warrior, usually working for rich nobles and barons.

Histopry[]

Having previously slain many monsters and beasts including a dragon, he or she ("swordsman" may be considered gender-neutral) had a reputation for successfully completing difficult missions and had attained a degree of fame.[1]

After defeating Zanbar Bone at the behest of Owen Carralif, the Mayor of Silverton, the hero received many gifts, including a gold orb worth hundreds of Gold Pieces.[2] It is possible that the hero featured in one or more other books, either before or afterwards. The hero of Assassins of Allansia in particular is hinted to be the same person, although it is not specifically confirmed.

In the adventure Revenge of the Sorcerer in Dungeoneer, the option of using the Hero as a player character in that adventure is offered.[3] In the adventure A Shadow Over Blacksand in Blacksand!, the option of using the Hero as a player character is also given.[4]
