Hero of Deathmoor

The Hero of Deathmoor was an adventurer, "an experienced, battle-hardened warrior ... as familiar with the ways of the sea as with those of the land." Whilst pearl-diving on Takio, he or she was summoned to Arion to rescue the young Princess Telessa from the clutches of Arachnos under Deathmoor. Unfortunately, it took the hero over a week to sail single-handed across the Black Ocean to Arion, nearly four years since he or she last visited the port.

A native of Chalannabrad, the hero's fame gained him or her entry to the king and queen themselves. The usual fee for rescuing a princess was apparently half the kingdom, but it is not known whether the hero received this reward or continued adventuring.

It is possible that the hero took part in other books, either before or afterwards.
