Hero of The Warlock of Firetop Mountain

Although the article below is based on canon, some of its content is considered extrapolation because it assumes a certain course of events through an adventure that has many possible routes. Finally, the use of "Hero" and other male- gender expressions pertaining to the subject in the article and/or title of the article is not intended to exclude the possibility that the hero was female.

The Hero of The Warlock of Firetop Mountain was an adventurer who entered the Warlock's domain to "save Allansia from his evil magic," although the acquisition of treasure may have been a more important reason. He or she obtained "At least a thousand Gold Pieces, jewellery, diamonds, rubies and pearls" along with a spell book giving the owner control over the mountain and its denizens. The victory section suggests that the hero might choose to remain as master of Firetop Mountain, but there is no mention in later books of this having happened.

There is nothing to rule out the possibility that the hero also took part in one or more other books in the series, either before or afterwards.
