Ikiru, also known as the "Master of Shadows", is the primary antagonist of the twentiest Fighting Fantasy gamebook Sword of the Samurai. He is a Greater Demon of vast power, who resides in the northern borders of Hachiman in Onikaru (which translates as "Pit of Demons"). He stole the Dai-Katana Singing Death, and tries to unlock its power and use it to spread chaos all over Hachiman

Ikiru is a fearsome foe to face, able to hurl black lightning that harms the soul as well as the body, costing 4 stamina points, 2 skill points and 2 luck points, who channels waves fo darkness through his blade that can cripple a foe or kill him outright. Before fighting, he summons all sorts of shadowy beings to attack his foes.
