The Invisible City is a city located in the Plain of Bronze.
Description[]
Located on the ruins of the Gleaming City, the Invisible City can only be seen using Bier Goggles at the top of one of the Three Tiger Mountains. Using these goggles, the city looks like the former one, from the time of its splendour.[1]
The city has a vertical structure, with many buildings high up, such as bridges, viaducts, and archways.[2]
All streets lead to the main and central building of the city, the Great Temple of Throff, located in a Garden surrounded by minor religious buildings.[3]
In the lower levels are houses, scaffolds and taverns with blue tile roofs.[4]
Governance[]
The city seems to live in autarky, under the guidance of Throff's clergy.
History[]
The city was founded on the ruins of the Gleaming City, following the destruction of the latter, by survivors in order to guard the Gates of Death. The city was then magically camouflaged from the rest of the world. [5]
Some time after its foundation, the city was governed by Ulrakaah, who then had expensatory aims. She was banished by the priests of Throff behind the Gates of Death. [6]
The city was the epicentre of the new spread of the Demon Plague in Allansia. During these events, the city was ruled by the High Priestess Alesstis, who hid the majority of the inhabitants to protect them from demons.[7] Several adventurers then went looking for it, like Sinna the Sly, Hikaz Mandeera, or an acolyte of the Guardians of the Crucible.
