An Iron Cyclops was a form of construct once popular in Carsepolis.
Description[]
They were crafted in the form of a cyclops, though unlike them would fight with their claws rather than some large melee weapon.
They were also depicted with pointed ears, as well as long tongues and hooves, the last two traits were apparently absent in a normal cyclops, which usually had feet and tongues similar to that of a human.
Origins and Distribution[]
As mentioned above, iron cyclopes were created typically as guardians, and were usually found with south-west Allansia.
History[]
Perhaps the most notable iron cyclops of all time was the one installed by Zagor of Firetop Mountain to guard the Eye of the Cyclops imbedded within its own skull.
Eventually however, an adventurer was able to best the creature in combat and took the eye, though sources differ to the identity of the hero in question.
