jig was a spell used by sorcerers, requiring 1 stamina point and a small bamboo flute or pipe to use.
This spell used the music from the flute to make the target creature or creatures dance, an effect that will last as long as the instrument is played.
Use in the Sorcery! series[]
This spell is best used for dealing with enemies without fighting, For example, it can neutralise a pair of bandits.[1] The caster can also use the spell to tamper with contests, though that will obviously attract the attention of unaffected onlookers.[2] The caster may use the spell to move the targets in a certain direction.[3]
The spell cannot affect all targets. For example, it is not powerful enough to use on six of the Seven Serpents, nor will it work on Manata the Snake Charmer as he is a magical magician himself who also carries a Bamboo Pipe.[4]
