Kabeshian refers to the old empire on Khul that ruled before the War of the Wizards. The Khanate of Kabesh, or Kabeshian Empire, was ruled from the city of Kabesh.[1] Under the rule of Khan Gyorgir, the Empire stretched from Tak in the south to Kalagar in the north.[2] The empire used Ancient Kabeshian as its language.[3] The Kabeshian Empire traded with the city of Arion in the east.[4]
The Empire was destroyed during the War of the Wizards; its capital Kabesh was "pulled apart, stone by stone", and its fertile heartlands became the uninhabitable Wastes of Chaos.[1][4]
The only people who know the Ancient Kabeshian language today are antiquarians, and old creatures like the Sphinxes. [3]
The Flatland Nomads tribes who dwell in Kazan, near Lagash and on the grassy area where the Pikestaff Plain meets the Battlegrounds, are all largely descended from the Kabeshian people.[5]
Notes[]
- The Monastery of Yloth in Gundobad was a centre of worship during the time of the Kabeshian Empire.[6]
