Lake Nekros is an ancient lake filled with ancient creatures, some of which whose malice make the lake uncrossable.[1] Khulians claim the Lake is filled with strange creatures, sudden winds and strong currents; certainly the Lake has never been sailed across in living memory.[2]
Description[]
The Kraken of Lake Nekros has taken uncounted victims over the aeons and few who live in north-east Khul would dare to cross the lake, or even camp near its shores.[3]
The lake's waters were to land dwellers a foul acid and no thirst can be quenched at its lapping shores without pain or death; the liquid was also known to rot leather drinking flasks.[4]
The abandoned Copper Mines of Nekros lay to the east.[5]
History[]
King Brendan IV of Arion was killed in a hunting disaster close to Lake Nekros in the year 281 AC[6]
