The Leaf Beast was a type of ferocious topiary.[1]
Description[]
The most notable ones were created to guard Lord Azzur's famous and rare black lotus flowers, located in the Blacksand Public Gardens. They were situated around the bowl containing the flowers, were cut to look like a lion, tiger and leopard and would come to life and attack if the flowers were touched.
If they dealt with the would-be flower-picker, the beasts would spring back onto their pedestals and turn back into bushes.[2]
