A Lich-Lord was a powerful variant of a lich.
Description[]
Most lich-lords bore a striking resemblance to skeletons or zombies, but unlike them possessed the gift of speech. In life, most lich lords had been mighty spellcasters such as wizards or sorcerers, who later embraced undeath. They typically retained such powers in their new form.
Special Abilities[]
While some lich-lords could be slain in comat, others required ritualistic and escoteric solutions to finally kill them, such as a certain blend of powder or a specific magic item such as a Ring of Holy Blessing.
History[]
In c.82 AC, the hero Qadarnai imprisoned Lord Mortis of Balthor, the Lich Lord, in a crypt on Stayng Island, using one of the legendary Elf Spears, Aelfgar.
