The Merfolk are a species of humanoid that dwells deep in the seas and oceans of Titan, only rarely coming to the surface. Merfolk have the upper bodies of Humans and the lower bodies of fishes. The males of the species are named Mermen and the females are named Mermaids. [1][2][3]
Description[]
Merfolk have bred various species of Toolfish to assist them in their daily lives.[4]
Origins and Distribution[]
In the past, there was a great city of the Merfolk called Buwalra. However, this city was treacherously attacked by Sea Trolls, (an event now known as the Massacre of Buwalra) and most of its inhabitants were slaughtered. This crime is the root of the great hatred Merfolk have for Sea Trolls. The city of Buwalra has been deliberately left abandoned by the Merfolk as a monument to the dead of the city.[2] Merfolk have since fought wars against the Sea Trolls who attack them.[5]
