Mithrandir's Gamebook Grotto was a gamebook-orientated website run by Paul Parsons and launched in 2000. It closed down at the end of 2012.
Purpose[]
The introductory paragraph of the site read thus:
“ Welcome to my book page! This section mostly covers the gamebook genre, which was at its height in the 1980s. Happy viewing!
So why did I pick gamebooks as the main choice for my website? Well, when I first got a PC and was able to go online (April 2000), I didn’t know what to search for! Anyway, I remembered the first gamebook I bought, Monsters of the Marsh by David Tant, and wondered if there was any information on it. I drew a blank and thought: one day I’ll do something myself. And here it is!”
