According to the book Myths and Legends of the Old World, Karnstein area (Gallantaria, Old World) was one known as Assur-Na-Menes and was the place of a massive battle in which ten thousand men died. The task of burial was so great that the victors merely turned the soil of the battle plain over, covering the bodies where they laid. It is said that the bodies lie there still, beneath a layer of dry earth on which nothing grows.[1]
