The Ocean of Serpents is the vast ocean dividing the Old World from Khul.[1] Despite its name, it is described a "safer expanse of water" than the Ocean of Tempests, and experienced seafarers can easily sail a ship across it.[1] It takes about sixty days for a ship from Pollua in the Old World to reach Khul, and two or three more days before a safe harbour can be found for the ship to dock.[1]
In Clash of the Princes, there is a large body of water north of Gundobad called the Great Ocean.[2] If the Location of Gundobad is in northern Khul (as the map in Beyond the Pit states [3]), then the Great Ocean may be an alternate name for the Ocean of Serpents.
