An Octoman was a human that an Octobeast has latched onto the head of and has taken control over.[1]
Description[]
Because of the similarity in appearance between Octobeasts and Octopuses, Octomen can easily be confused with an enraged Humanoid with an Octopus attached to or merged with a Human.[1]
While attached to their Human host, the Octobeast wraps its tentacles around the Human's arms and torso, while its body crackles with elemental energy and pulsates.[1]
Origins and Distribution[]
Octomen are created by Octobeasts as part of their life cycle, attaching to the head of a Human and using mind control to take over their body. While in this state, the Octobeast will lay eggs inside the Human which will soon hatch, killing the Human host.
Until this happens, the Octobeast remains attached to the Human's head, and will use the host body to attack anything which they percieve as a threat that may disrupt this process.[1]
As a result, Octomen can only be found where Octobeasts live, with known cases being in the floating Pangarian fishing island of Incus in the Ocean of Tempests.[1]
Further Notes[]
- If an Octoman's stamina is reduced to half or less, the Octobeast will detach itself, and the Human host will regain their senses.[1]
