Phoenixes[1] were a mythical race of birds famed for their affinity with fire.
Description[]
Their feathers were golden and their eyes a shining and emenating red, while a hue of yellow fire seemed to ripple cross their surface.
They could kill their enemies by burning them with fiery explosions from within itself.
Origins and Distribution[]
They were native to the Magical Plane of Fire, but could also be found upon Titan in distant areas.
One such place was believed to be southern Arantis in Allansia, where tribes of pygmies referred to them as the Yokka Bird, 'Yokka' meaning 'sun' in their language.[2]
History[]
The healer Pen Ty Kora took the symbol of a phoenix as his own, carving it into a rock outside his dwelling in the Moonstone Hills.
Worshippers of the priestess Leesha in Vatos often wore headdresses in the shape of phoenixes.
