A Pteranodon is a dinosaur found in Titan.

Description

Resembling scrawny lizards with a pair of leathery wings stretching between their ankles and elongated forelimbs, these carnivorous beasts usually fed on small animals or Fish, swooping down from the skies and swallowing them whole.

When faced with larger prey, a Pteranodon would use its powerful beak to stab and bite, before carrying the corpse back to its nest to cut up and eat at its leisure. They had voracious appetites from an early age, and could prove to be surprisingly loyal pets if fed regularly straight from the egg.

They could be distinguished from the similar Pterodactyls in that Pteranodons had a skull crest extending backwards over the head.They had a wingspan of about 8 metres and its name meant wing without tooth.

Origins and Distribution

Pteranodon was a flying dinosaur released from the portal of evil in Khul.

Real World Equivalent

The Pteranodon in Portal of Evil was, apart from its ventral scales, largely accurate.
