Rat Men were a species of physically weak half-human, half-rat creatures.[1][2]
Description[]
Rat men possessed the bodies of humans but the whiskery large-eyed heads of rats, with fur and and a long tail. An average rat man stood roughly five feet tall, often dressing in human clothing.[1]
They could speak the tongue of man, but were often shunned by humans due to their unsettling appearance, meaning that they normally dwelt in groups within cyclopean ruins or sewers. A rat man would eat almost anything it could catch.[1]
In combat a rat man would normally fight with a shortsword, but preferred to wound their enemies from a distance with slings or trap them, for rat men were often skilled with snares and traps.[1]
Origins and Distribution[]
Rat men were believed to be the result of some cross-breeding experiment by some mad sorcerer (or other spellcaster]] or gifted alchemist, who required slaves or warriors.[1]
