Ravens or Common Ravens were a species of small black-feathered birds prone to scavenging.
Description[]
Ravens were related to both jackdaws and crows, but possessed sharper beaks.
They typically travelled in unkindnesses (the term for a group of ravens)
Some people considered ravens to be bad-luck, and that they would steal the soul of a deceased person if they arrived in the mist of a funeral. Others such as spellcasters were known to use ravens as familiars.
