The Rift is a geographical location of the world of Orb.
Description[]
It is the spawning place of all evil[1], where the Fleshless King has hidden the Talisman of Death (object) for safe-keeping until the time is right to summon Death (Orb) to the surface of the planet and cease all life. Only Death's minions will continue to exist in an awful half-life.[2]
The Rift is an immense chasm. The rocky earth is blackened and cracked, full of pits and fissures, and noisome fumes raise from the depths of the chasm.[3]
