The Sea Spider was a type of ocean-dwelling arachnid.[1]
Description[]
A sea spider was approximately the size of a full-grown human, with eight legs and up to six eyes.
They would often prey upon a large species of fish or a juicy merman, hiding within a coral reef or large clump of seaweed, but were also known to occaisonally attack a passing ship by climbing aboard and snagging a passenger or two.
Sea elves were known to sometimes use them as guardians for their settlements, as a would-be deterrent to predators such as fish men or deep ones.
