A Serpent was a type of reptilian creature.[1]

Description[]

Their bodies were covered in typically brown or green scales, though sometimes otherwise, and they had mighty jaws with sharp fangs, with which to catch prey.

Serpents were almost always subject to some form of mutation. These mutations could vary greatly, as examples a serpent could have two heads or two tails, possess a pair of wings, or be capable of breathing fire.

Origins and Distribution[]

As with all snakes, serpents were originally created by the snake god Vermistra. Later they were corrupted by the forces of chaos such as Xiarga.

Serpents could be found upon all three continents. Ones that breathed fire were known to dwell near the city-state of Zamarra, while serpents with dragonfly-like wings were known to live in the Mountains of Grief in Allansia.
