She-Satyrs were a race of an all-female group of Satyrs who lived in the foothills of the Zanzunu Peaks.[1]
Description[]
They typically used spears for fighting, whether by throwing them from a range or using them in melee. They could only breathe the climate of the mountains.
She-satyrs were fond of things that involved strength or physical prowess. one test of theirs was to throw a prisoner into a pit to fight a wolf. Any names among them would invariably begin with the prefix 'sh'.
She-Satyrs were unable to breathe the air of the lowlands, and were thus confined to the mountain heights. As a result, they were fond of stories and ballads, and would often treat such storytellers with much hospitality.
Origins and Distribution[]
The origin of the She-Satyrs is currently unknown to Titan's scholars. However, some sources speak of the history of the land of Irritaria, before the Splitting of Irritaria created the continent of the Old World. The sources say that during this time, in the regions that would one day become Mauristatia and Kakhabad, that "Humans danced with elves, satyrs, centaurs and other forest creatures." [2] If true, it is possible that these "satyrs" were connected to the She-Satyrs.
She-Satyrs could be found in the heights of High Xamen and the Zanzunu Peaks of Kakhabad, where they dwelt in caves.
Notable She-Satyrs[]
- S'houri was the current leader of the she-satyrs. Upon her community being struck with a mysterious illness, an alliance was made with the holy person Colletus, for him to provide healing.
Further Notes[]
It is not known if there are any male Satyrs still living in the Old World, or how they are connected to the She-Satyr people. The Sorcery Spell Book depicts several drawings of male Satyrs, but no information is given about them.[3]
