The Siege of Carsepolis happened in 1999 OT.

The forces of Chaos won through Trolltooth Pass and headed for Carsepolis. Here they were held back for fifteen terrible days before the walls fell. As the city was about to collapse Dwarf and Elf reinforcements arrived and the battle was won. However, Carsepolis was tainted by Chaos and all but destroyed. Although the battle and eventually the war had been won, the city was lost. Its people were given shelter in Salamonis and the city was abandoned.
