Snakeland Scorpion is a fan written Fighting Fantasy adventure by Robert Douglas. It was published online in 2000 at Fightingfantasy.com.[1]
Background[]
“ The Caarth must be stopped - at all costs! YOU are the Scorpion, legendary hero, veteran adventurer. Upon your return home to Kaynlesh Ma, you soon learn that the evil, ambitious Snake People - the Caarth - have set their sights upon Arantis! Their legions are due to march west any day now...unless YOU can stop them in time. It is your mission to travel through hostile terrain, infiltrate the impregnable fortress of S'turrak, and assassinate High Priest Negresh. Armed with your falchion blade and invaluable Lore qualities, only YOU can prevent a Caarth conquest of Arantis! Dare YOU take up the challenge? ”
Rules[]
The adventure in general follows the original rules set down in The Warlock of Firetop Mountain. (see Game System)
Unique Rules[]
- The player may be instructed to consume Provisions without gaining stamina. In these situations, if the player has no food left they must forfeit 3 stamina points. The same principle applies with regard to water.
- There are various limitations placed on the number of weapons, objects and provisions that can be carried.
- The player may choose two skills, or "Lores" from a selection of five: Ancient Runes Lore, Magic Artefacts Lore, Snake Language Lore, Society Lore and South Allansian Lore.

Errors[]
- (75) claims that the river encountered is flowing north from the Gulf of Shamuz located in the south, while it should be flowing to a southwardly direction, into the Gulf of Shamuz.
- (137) operates with 4 out of the 5 Lores Scorpion can choose from at the beginning of the book. Since 2 Lores must be picked, it is not possible that the Hero doesn't have any of the Lores mentioned. Having the option pointing to (301) here is pointless.
- (305) is an orphan, and the same as (164).
- It is not possibe to obtain a warhammer before reaching (345).
