Map[]
I took a photo of my copy of the map inside the cover of the 1980s Puffin edition - would it be acceptable to publish here? best, Sunil060902 11:03, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- We've generally been using scans, I believe.Gallicus 19:19, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- Well I uploaded the photo - I do have a scanner although not used it in a while! best, Sunil060902 23:57, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Errors[]
"This was corrected for the first Wizard Books edition, but is present again in the Wizard Series 2 (2010) edition"
- Seriously? How crap is that! Thanks for the info. Paltogue 15:53, February 18, 2010 (UTC)
- Do we know the original was actually an error? I've loved this book since I got it as a teenager and the more I think about it, the more I regard the famous 213 reference is not an error (we debated this amongst my friends once!), but the single most important puzzle in the gamebook. Think about it - the entire book is about the Creature finding out what and who it really is, and gaining autonomy and freedom. The ultimate puzzle - creativity, insight, thinking-out-side box. After all, doesn't the pendant instruction say you can do the reference change when you get to such and such a line, not that you can't at other times, right? I would love for Mr. Jackson to clarify what his intent was, even if we may yet agree to disagree on whether, if it is meant as a puzzle, whether it is "too hard" - which I agree it likely is. But then again, this book's signposts are fun for similar reasons too! 70.26.9.222 00:52, May 12, 2012 (UTC) philosopher-animal
- Interesting point. Why not take it up at the Unofficial FF Forum, where I think lots of us would have an opinion? http://fightingfantasy.eamped.com/ Paltogue 18:52, May 12, 2012 (UTC)
