The Tentalluses were a race of underground-dwelling squid-like creatures that dwelt in areas of water or moist lands.
Description[]
Juvenile tentalluses were only the size of a clenched fist, in constrast to their vast size when fully grown. A tentallus possessed a beak.
They would try to capture any living food by entangling it in their gray-green tentacles, sometimes trying to drown its prey before feeding. For unknown reasons a bracelet of mermaid scales would repel them.
Origins and Distribution[]
They were descended from creatures such as giant octopi and tentacled things, thanks to the meddling of certain spellcasters.
They would sometimes be found in the company of sirens.
