The adventure in general follows the original rules set down in The Warlock of Firetop Mountain. (see Game System)

There are different rolls for two of the stats. skill is a 1d6 roll with the result of 1-2 a score of 7, a roll of 3-4 a score of 8, and a roll of 5-6 a score of 9. For stamina this is a 1d6 roll with 11 added. luck is as standard.
The player begins unarmed and must suffer a penalty of 4 points to their Attack Strength until they find a weapon.
There are six spells, of which the player can choose 3: Fear, Firebolt, Illusion, Ironhand, Open, and Ward.
