The Salamonis Gazette Issue 1 was the first issue of a set-to-be on-going web-based magazine dedicated to Fighting Fantasy, although only part of a second issue has ever surfaced since the publication of this issue. It was published in 2003 and was 70 pages in length.

The cover was by Martin McKenna and depicts the Shape Changer as featured in Forest of Doom adventure. This artwork was originally used for the cover of the reprint of that book.

Fighting Fantasy News[]

The news section covers the forthcoming arrival of four boxsets, the Fighting Fantasy Calender 2004, the television ad campaign and the status of the newly launched Fightingfantasygamebooks.com website.

Yaztromo's Scrolls Revealed[]

Presented in character by wizard Yaztromo and his pet crow Vermithrax is a look various herbs and spices to be found on Titan, their uses and effects.

Exclusive Interviews Revealed[]

Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone are interviewed.

The Warlock's Quill[]

"Letters" here cover Clash of the Princes, the lack of "Special Edition" for the reprint of Armies of Death, the possibility of "new" gamebook titles as opposed to reprints, and the lack of an interview with John Blanche on the website.

How to Map[]

This was a brief section providing mapping techniques when playing the gamebooks and is reprinted from Warlock issue 1.

Out of the Pit - FF Monsters[]

Explains the system used to profile the various monsters.

Warlock of Firetop Mountain[]

The history of the mountain and surrounding area are explored, followed by an 'Out of the Pit' examination of the all the creatures encountered in the gamebook.

Competition[]

A prize of an A2 poster by Mel Grant is proposed for the winner of a "Trap" competition. (This recreates a competition from Warlock issue 4.)

Word Search[]

A word search containing 35 words.
