A Unicorn was a rare magical being that took the form of a horse with an enchanted ivory horn.

Description[]

Unicorns were completely white, and were extremely distrustful of most creatures, though wood elves and faeries were an exception, and a beautiful maiden was said to attract them.

These fears were well based, for both humans and orcs were known to hunt unicorns for their horns or hides, for the horn of a unicorn was said to bring good luck, or do other marvelous things.

If a unicorn was extremely grateful, it could grant a wish to a helper of its, though the wish would be limited.

Some knights took a unicorn as their sigil, while a tattoo of a unicorn in a sun upon the forehead was said to protect against greater undead creatures.

Origins and Distribution[]

Unicorns had occasionally been seen in north-west Khul, especially within the depths of Scorpion Swamp.[1]
