A Water Elemental was a supernatural personification of the element of Water.[1]
Description[]
They often appeared as a humanoid figure.[2]
Water elementals often enjoyed destroying water vessels and drowning the inhabitants.[2]
Origins and Distribution[]
They dwelt on the Magical Plane of Water, but could be summoned to the Earthly Plane by powerful magicians.[2]
When summoned, a water elemental would often appear at the heart of a whirlpool or typhoon.[2]
Special Abilities[]
As with most elementals, they could only be harmed by magical weaponry or spells.[2]
Notable Water Elementals[]
- Oceanus was a greater water elemental that was bound to the Shell of the Seas, kept in an underwater temple of Hydana.[3]
