The Ximoran Protectorate began when, upon the death of Orien in 81AC, the Council of Seven took over leadership of Klarash and it became the Klarashian Protectorate.

Following the banishment of the Queen of Silver in 90AC, the Council declared that the Klarashian Protectorate be from then onward called the "Ximoran Protectorate".

Description[]

The Protectorate is made up of seven cities and the territory under their suzerainty: Ximoran, Djiretta, Anghelm, Buruna, Kalima, Kelther, and Neuberg. Its influence remains roughly the same as that of Klarash, save that it does not extend as far south. For the most part the River Swordflow marks the southern boundary of the Protectorate, although officially Transoxalia is included, with Neuberg forming the southernmost city. However, only the northern half of that land is governed at all effectively by Neuberg.[1]

The Protectorate has the power to call up units of knights to defend the Protectorate and its subjects against attackers (such as the infamous Purple Dragon of Ganvashi).[2]

Magical trinkets called spell gems were commonly sold and used within the Ximoran Protectorate.[3]

History[]

According to Return to the Pit, "Prince Darrow of Kelther was killed by a Lion while out hunting on the plains of the Ximoran Protectorate in 243AC." [4]
