Zoalinths were creatures that resembled two headed humanoid crocodiles.
Description[]
These creatures stood eight feet tall with four eyes. Its eight fingered claws were taloned. On top of its barrel chested body of a bear were twin crocodile heads. It was supported by powerful legs covered in fur and feathers while a long-spined lizard-like tail scraped along the ground behind it. On its two heads a weird pattern of black and white bands were said to radiate out at odd angles along its scaly skin from the central yellow snouts.
In battle a zoalinth could vomit forth acidic bile from its maws onto unwanted interlopers.
A zoalinth could be trained to recognise a sigil or inscription of some kind, as well as speak a vague amount of local dialect. Because of this, they could allow certain people to pass through their guarded areas.
Origins and Distribution[]
The first zoalinths were apparently crafted by the inhabitants of ruined Kabesh, who apparently used them as guardians. They could also be found in Zagoula.
History[]
One zoalinth was created by Shanzikuul, who considered it his most "successful" mutant creation.[1]
This creature was possibly destroyed by a hero.
